This was a unique lesson because it served several purposes. I was tasked with creating a multi-part lesson as part of my master's practicum. I was also responsible for providing enrichment opportunities for my gifted and talented students. Furthermore, I had to meet these requirements while being almost fully remote while most of my students were not.
Much of the lesson is based on one by 826 Digital from the text STEM to Story. The lesson is also available online here.
I created this unit using several tools, including Canva, iMovie, Zoom, and, NearPod. I created the slide deck in Canva. I recorded myself in Zoom because I could present my slide deck simultaneously. I also filmed myself creating my fractal poetry with my iPad. I edited the video in iMovie. Then, I embedded my videos into a NearPod lesson. Because NearPod is a password protected student platform, I am including both a PDF of the NearPod slide deck and the YouTube links which were embedded within it.
